After an amazing Galilean breakfast we will start our day with a short walk along the Jordan River, we'lll understand why we call this little stream a "River". Then we will see with our eyes the Syrian African rift and how it affected an old crusader fortress. Then we will ascend to the Golan and stop at a former Syrian outpost.
We then continue to Mount Bental, a volcano with a beautiful over look to Syria. From this place you will understand better the life of the Israelis and how small this country is.
Lunch we will have in Kazerin the "capital of the Golan". We will see a light show that will explain the topography and history of the Golan.
For the end of the day we will visit the national park Gamla. We will see the ruins of the old city and hear the story that was told by Josephus flaveus about Gamla's major part in the Jewish great revolt. Gamla is also a great opportunity to see vultures from a close distance, since it’s the biggest nesting colony in Israel.

THE GOLAN HEIGHTS 2
After an amazing Galilean breakfast we'll visit in Tel Facher, one of the Syrian fortifications that were captured in a fierce battle by the Golani Brigade in the 1967 Six Day War.
Then we will visit the Banyas natural reserve, where we will see one of Israel's main water sources. According to Christian tradition this is the place where the event mentioned in Mark 8 took place.
We will continue ascending to the Nimrod fortress, here you will see a nice medieval fortress with a beautiful view over the upper Galilee and the Golan.
We will have lunch in a Druze restaurant and we will hear about the 4 Druze villages that were taken by Israel in the 6 days war. The dilemma in which they live in confront them with the question who am i? Israeli or Syrian.
We then continue to Mount Bental, a volcano with a beautiful over look to Syria. From this place you will understand better the life of the Israelis and how small this country is.

THE GOLAN HEIGHTS 3

We will start our day with a view over Metula and Lebanon from Mount Zofia. We will talk about the political situation in Lebanon, and the long history of wars in this region.
We'll continue to the Dan natural reserve were we will understand Israel's water problem.
Then up to the Golan Heights, passing through the Druze villages we will get to Kibutz El Rom, were we will see a movie that describes one of the famous battles that took place not far from this kibutz at the six day war.
From there we'll drive to Bental volcano to see a great view over the Syrian border. We'll have lunch at a Yemenite restaurant at the city of Kazerin and from there visit at the Golan olive press

UPPER GALILEE FOR FAMILIES- SUMMER TIME
After an amazing Galilean breakfast we will start our day with ATV's ride in the Galilee (driver license is needed).
Kids 7-14 years old and up to 88 pounds can ride it. There will be an instructor on the vehicle during the ride but the kids will be able to drive it themselves.
Then we'll go near the border with overviews of Lebanon and the Hula Valley. We'll take the Manara cable car down to the valley, where we will have fun on Mountain Slides (toboggan rides).
We will go Kayaking on the Jordan River- you can do that in rafts for 2 people or for 5 -6 people.
We will have lunch in a fish restaurant and after lunch we drive to the most northern town in Israel – Metula.
In Metula we will have a family shooting competition in a shooting range, allowing everyone to participate and get to know what it feels like to shoot with an Uzi machine gun.

UPPER GALILEE FOR FAMILIES- WINTER TIME
After an amazing Galilean breakfast we will start our day with ATV's ride in the Galilee (driver license is needed).

If it's too rainy for ATVs we will go for a wine tour in a boutique winery. (But it's never too rainy for ATVs:)
Before going down to the Hula Valley we will stop near the border with Lebanon for an overview. This view will give us a better understanding of the region that Israel is situated in and its problems.
The winter time is the best time for bird watching in the Hula Valley. We will rent a golf car, but this time not for playing golf but in order to get to the Hula Lake to see the birds. Depends on the season, we can see a lot of cranes, pelicans, ducks, birds of prey, predators and more…
We will have lunch in a fish restaurant and after lunch we drive to the most northern town in Israel – Metula.
Sometime in the winter time we have snow on the top of Mount Hermon (the highest mountain in Israel). If we have snow there we can go skiing.
In Metula we will have a family shooting competition in a shooting range, allowing everyone to participate and get to know what it feels like to shoot with an Uzi machine gun.

TO THE GOLAN HEIGHTS FROM TEL AVIV
On this day you have a long journey ahead of you, driving to the Golan Heights from Tel Aviv and back, involve about 6 hours driving round trip. We recommend staying for overnight in the north or to do that with a helicopter. Yet for those of you who want to do it in one day- here is our plan:
We will start our day relatively early and head up north. We will drive through the lower and upper Galilee and get
to the place where we cross the Jordan River.

FROM TEL AVIV / JERUSALEM TO THE GALILEE VIA THE COAST-LINE
Depart Jerusalem to the Galilee stopping on the way at the old city of Caesarea a Roman city with Roman structures
such as amphitheater, hippodrome, hot bath and more. Caesarea is also the place where the only archeological item that mentioned Pontius Pilatus.
We'll continue to Haifa for a beautiful view over the Baha'i gardens and a short walk along the German colony
Visiting akko in the knights halls, the Turkish Hamam, the templar tunnel and the ancient port. We'll continue from there to the grottos of Rosh Hanikra, we’ll take the cable car down to the grottos and we will also "touch" the border with Lebanon.
At this point we can start returning to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, or we can spend the night in the Galilee.

UPPER GALILEE
After an amazing Galilean breakfast we'll start the morning with a 1 hour hike on Mount Meron, viewing the upper Galilee and Lebanon. From there we'll continue to visit a very interesting Galilean village by the name
Peki'in. The majority of this village is Druze, but we will also fine Muslims, Christians and even 1 Jewish person who live there. We will visit the olive oil soap factory of Gamila and hear her unique story.
We will have lunch in a Galilean bakery were we'll eat Moroccan bread. After lunch we will visit the old city of Safed and its ancient synagogues and the art galleries.

FROM JERUSALEM THROUGH THE JORDAN VALLEY AND SEA OF GALILEE
Depart from the hotel and drive along the Jordan River valley. We'll pass near Jericho the oldest city in the world on our way to the Sea of Galilee. (At this point we are passing by the Dead Sea so if you wish you can stop to swim, or you can visit Jericho)
Along the Jordan River we'll stop to see the ancient city Beit Shean- scitopolis with its beautiful roman ruins. Then we'll stop to see the view from the "Island of peace" which is situated near the border with Jordan.
Visit Yardenit the official site of baptism in Israel at the Jordan River. We will continue Kibutz Ginosar were we will see and ancient boat that was found in the Sea of Galilee. This boat is very interesting to see, since it's dated to the time of Jesus. If we have time we can visit some other churches around the lake.
