We will start our morning with a beautiful view over the old city from Mount of Olives and then we’ll visit at the church of all nations (church of agony- also known as Gethsemane, the place where Jesus was captured in his last night.
After hearing a little bit of the Christian story, we will continue to the temple mount to see the dome of the rock. This is the place that until the year 70 CE the Jewish temple was standing. Today what we can see there is the famous golden dome in the heart of Jerusalem. The dome of the rock is the most holy place for Islam in Israel (entering to the mosque for Muslims only). We will then walk the Via Dolorosa until we get to the church of the Holy Sepulcherin the Christian quarter.
Next we will see the Armenian quarter and then the Jewish quarter with the herodian mansion, the Cardo and the Wailing Wall. . (Tour in the Wailing Wall tunnels requires booking 2 months in advance).
Essential : hat & sunscreen (summer time) warm clothes (winter time), comfortable shoes, water, cameras, modest clothes for holy site (long sleeves and pants).
