Kibbutzim: A Story of Resilience
On October 7, 2023, the peaceful kibbutzim along the Gaza border—such as Kfar Aza, Be’eri, and Re’im—were among the hardest hit in one of the darkest days in Israeli history. These communities, known for their spirit, solidarity, and agricultural life, were brutally attacked in a coordinated assault that resulted in heartbreaking loss and devastation.
During this powerful tour, we will visit the area surrounding these kibbutzim. From secure vantage points outside Kfar Aza, Be’eri, and others, we will reflect on the events of that day, share the stories of the people who lived through it, and honor the memory of those who were lost.
Out of deep respect for the residents who are working to rebuild their lives and reclaim a sense of normalcy, we do not enter the kibbutzim unless a guest has a personal connection and prior arrangements have been made. Our goal is to bear witness without intruding—to stand in solidarity, not as spectators, but as supporters.
This tour is not only about tragedy, but also about resilience, hope, and the unbreakable bond of community.
